The Sigh
I grasp the moonlight
suffocating, starstruck,
hold it close
& kiss it
one last time.
It is a dark night
your eyes blazing fire-light
strumming to my heartbeat
as I fall.
And when you tell me
all your childhood tall tales,
chiding at your younger self
voice so earnest,
honest, true…
My eyes drink in all that is you,
your gentle regard,
the calmness of your posture,
the steady lines of your masculinity,
power and pleasure
poised and potent
the way you’re easing into me
whilst putting off bits and pieces of your shiny armour,
your hands and mine have never touched
but your presence brushes against the curve of my neck
my eyes brim with unsung melodies
every gaze, fervent yet deep,
melts me beneath the violet sky.
